Campus Storage Solutions Packing Instructions

Keep your items safe.

Most damage that occurs during moves happen because of improperly packed bins. Make sure to secure fragile items and pack your items evenly within the bin.

Close and secure your bins properly.

Make sure your bin is fully closed and all it’s contents are securely in the bin.

Fragile Items

Small fragile items that can be packed in our bins should be wrapped and packed securely in the bin. You can use items from your room to prevent your items from damage by wrapping anything breakable in shirts or sweaters to provide them with cushioning. Items inside the bin should not be able to move and slide around and stuffing (newspaper, clothing, blankets, towels) should be used as a protective barrier.

Large fragile out-of-bin items such as mirrors, dressers and wood furniture should be wrapped in bubble wrap or blankets and secured with tape.

TV’s must be packed in their original bins. Any improperly packed TV’s will automatically result in a forfeit of insurance.

Fridges

Fridges must be unplugged, thawed, cleaned, and dried 72 hours in advance of the move date. If fridges are not dry upon pick-up CSS will charge an additional $50 to your account.

Label: You must place the labels provided to your additonal items so we can ensure they return back to you/
